IP3 2025 – Wireless Communication (Lot 16511)

This lot is generally related to a multi-user multi-input multi-output (MU-MIMO) transmission system that enables user selection for downlink by estimating downlink channel states from an uplink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) frame to accurately estimate channel, provide efficient user selection for better downlink performance, and reduce overhead in multi-user wireless communication systems. Disclosed is an efficient MU-MIMO transmission system that allows an access point (AP) to receive an uplink OFDMA frame from multiple stations. The system estimates downlink channel states using a specially configured channel estimation slot with wider bandwidth. Also disclosed is that the system selects optimal stations for downlink MU-MIMO transmission based on the estimations. The technology may be implemented in Wi-Fi 6/6E, public wireless networks, smart homes, IoT systems, etc.
