This lot is generally related to a technique to provide location-based services to mobile devices by determining a user device’s location, querying a database to find relevant apps for the location, and delivering a tailored user experience. Disclosed is a technique to provide location-based services to a mobile device by learning user preferences from interactions at a first location and applying the user preferences at a second location. The system identifies and queries a database of location-based application services using the second location and the learned preferences to find relevant services. Also disclosed are techniques to modify the interface to deliver a personalized service at the second location. The technology may be implemented in smart tourism guides, location-aware retail shopping apps, mobile apps, etc.
