This lot is generally related to wireless communication. Techniques are disclosed to control a backbone network for a sensor network to efficiently manage sensor nodes and provide an accurate, flexible sensor network service. Disclosed is a technique to control a backbone network consisting of a context-interpreting unit for interpreting the service request of a sensor node and generating session routing information. Also disclosed is a sensor node registration unit for storing the sensor node information and routing information. The system has a gateway for transmitting the service request using the routing information and receiving a response message. The technology may be implemented in wireless communication networks, wireless sensor networks, etc.
