Disclosed is a technique to provide live media streaming to improve global media distribution and enhance remote communication by using a virtual machine having preconfigured software components on a user’s computer and generates a software image of the virtual machine. The system creates an isolated physical partition on the user computer and runs the software image to form a communication channel with the network service system. The software image facilitates live streaming media to the user computer. The system provides progressive live and non-buffered streaming of business events such as sports recruiting, entertainment for fans and all other business roles. The technology may be implemented in media streaming systems, online media streaming, music streaming applications, IPTV, etc.
