Techniques are disclosed to collect user activities while viewing a media item to create collaborative content tracks (CCT) that will be provided to future viewers of same item. CCTs can be surfing web, online chat with friends or checking email using nearby devices etc. The technology may be implemented by streaming media, VoD, digital TV, online video, multimedia data service providers, etc.
