IAM/Patent dealmaking down in the US during Q1 of 2021

Data from AST shows that there was a drop in the number of patent deals done in the US between January and March 2021, with NPEs involved of much of the activity that did take place

Patent dealmaking activity in the US declined in the first quarter of 2021, with 319 transactions recorded compared to 371 in the final quarter of 2020, according to AST data supplied exclusively to IAM. Those deals that did take place involved 290 sellers and 282 buyers.
