Augmented Reality (DEAL 467)

This portfolio is generally related to an augmented reality (AR) system for manipulation of objects in real time within multiple dynamic and augmented video feeds which are synchronized in an augmented reality (AR) or multi-dimensional space. Disclosed is an AR system which allows a user of a first AR system to connect to a user of a second AR system to share augmented video streams to enhance the AR experience. The system synchronizes the content in real time so that other users of the AR system can see, share, manipulate and interact with the augmented content either in their own augmented video streams or in the augmented video streams of another user. Also disclosed are techniques to display the multiplexed video stream having the video of the real-world 3D environment and the 3D virtual objects so that the participants can translate the coordinates of the one or more 3D virtual objects within the multi-dimensional space. The technology may be implemented in AR systems, mixed reality systems, sharing objects in real time, virtual object sharing systems, etc.
