Selectively Securing Data and/or Erasing Secure Data Caches (Deal 304)

This patent is generally related to security of data. Disclosed is a technique to store unencrypted data in cache for quicker access by processor and erase the data when a security breach is detected. The technique detects a user authentication event, reads data from a storage, identify if read data is encrypted, decrypt the data if true and store in system cache. Also disclosed are techniques to identify security breach and erase the unencrypted data from the cache. The technology may be implemented in secure data caches, OS, data management software, data security software, computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, smart devices, wearable devices, etc.
