Secure Integration of Permitted and Unpermitted Image Processing (DEAL 651)

This patent is generally related to a computer system that allows users to access two separate image processing programs, such as permitted and unpermitted, through a single interface and seamlessly integrate results into the user’s workflow while ensuring secure execution of the program. Disclosed is a computer system for image processing consisting of a server having a first working environment with a first program for image processing and a second working environment, logically separated from the first working environment, with a second program for image processing. A client sends a command to execute a second image processing program task from the first environment, which is routed to the second environment. The second environment processes the image and transmits the result to the first environment, which then emits the processed image electronically to facilitate the integration of an unpermitted program for image processing in the clinical workflow while simultaneously ensuring security for the execution of the unpermitted program for image processing. The technology may be implemented in medical imaging systems, satellite image analysis systems, cloud-based photo editing systems, etc.
