Advanced mobile devices and network supporting same (DEAL 531)

This lot is generally related to an improved wireless device having multiple media access control (MAC) addresses that can support various network functions, improve performance and security, and be useful in complex networking environments. Disclosed is a wireless device having multiple media access control (MAC) addresses that receive information from a first access point (AP) about a second access point (AP). The wireless device receives a first group-based transmission on an operating band of the first AP having a preamble portion, which indicates a modulation scheme used for a portion subsequent to the preamble portion. The first group-based transmission also has a data portion and a first header portion. The wireless device receives a second group-based transmission on the operating band of the second AP, which has a second data portion with a second header portion. The second data portion may be modulated to a very high-order modulation scheme, such as 4096 QAM. The technology may be implemented in network load balancing systems, IoT devices, smart home networks, etc.
