3D Interaction Systems Using Visual and Audio Feedback (DEAL 533)
This lot is generally related to various techniques, such as controlling the contents of a computer-generated image using 3D measurements, allowing users to interact through sound or image using various sensors to generate audio-visual responses, etc. Techniques are disclosed to control a cursor in an interaction region by projecting an image to create the interaction region. The system establishes a distance between a first point and a second point. The first point has a predetermined relation to the projection device, and the second point has a predetermined relation to the interaction region. The system measures the orientation and position of a pointing line in relation to a pointing device. The system uses the established distance, measured position, and orientation to control the cursor position in the interaction region. Further disclosed are techniques to use a multi-sensor device having an accelerometer to enable interactive experiences through sound and image. The technology may be implemented in computer pointing devices, OS, cursor position-managing software, fitness devices, wearable devices used by visually impaired people, etc.
