This lot is generally related to a contextual based search and a collaborative virtual space for content contribution. Techniques are disclosed for searching data over a network by using contextual information submitted by the user in the search request. The system receives a search request from a user device consisting of information related to the user device and identifies a context chain such as an array of context related to the user device based on the search request information. The system adds or deletes the context from the context chain based on communication received from the user device and transmits the search result. Also disclosed are techniques to rank results before display, and the user has an option to view the results based on most preferred, most personal, or most popular results. Few patents disclose a technique to allow a user to submit a story content such as images, video, text, audio, executable code in a virtual space and maintains associations between the content and commentary by adding intersection metadata, such as timeframe and location. Further disclosed are techniques to present the story content on a requesting user device.
