Interactive real-time video editor and recorder (DEAL 629)

This patent is generally related to an interactive video editing system that allows real-time editing while recording videos using a technique for creating a video template by receiving a first video and dividing the first video into multiple segments. The system identifies metadata associated with video editing effects of the first video montage having background music of any of the video segments, muted background sound, a time length, and a transition between any of the video segments. Also disclosed are techniques to identify a slow motion effect, a time freeze effect, a filter, a text overlay, and an image overlay of any of the video segments. The system generates a video template based on the metadata and transition points that separate the video segments. Further disclosed are techniques to transmit the video template to the data storage of a social cloud platform. The technology may be implemented in video editing systems, video cameras, real-time video editors, etc.
