This portfolio is generally related to various technologies such as location based call authorization, techniques to predict communication between users, music distribution by requesting songs from a content server and expand social network friend using a media recommendation network. Disclosed is a technique to receive a request from a first device for communication with a second device and receive location information of the first and the second device. The system authorizes the first device to communicate with the second device using a location received from the first device. The system compares the location information of the first with the prior location of the second device and allow the first device to communicate with the second device. Few patents in the portfolio predicts likelihood of communication between users by initiating communication with a second user based on stored information related to the second user. Another set of patents disclose a wireless speaker for playing audio songs having a transceiver which communicates with a remote control device and a content server to get a playlist. A set of patents in the portfolio disclose techniques to expand new friends network by identifying highly valued media in a media recommendation network by a user to discover new friends for the user.
