This portfolio is generally related to an automatic information system for matching and tracking subjects based on personal or social characteristics which can be helpful in hiring employees, match dating profiles, providers, recommendation systems, etc. Disclosed is an expert system for matching profiles by automatically selecting, sequencing, coordinating, tracking, status reporting, and an optional intervention. The system automatically score and rank providers by a set of selection criteria, such as multiple choice options. The system determines the relevance of the questions, answers and stores in a Knowledge-base which is continuously updated. The answers provided may be spoken, written, or entered directly into the system. Also disclosed are techniques to charge the subscriber for updating their records based upon new questions and options in the knowledge-base. The knowledge-base is maintained automatically using information gathered from human shoppers and/or information gathered by through “data mining” processes.
