Proximity Aware Content Switching User Interface (DEAL 411)

This invention is generally related to management of a user interface based on users’ distance from the user interface. Techniques are disclosed to modify a user interface to display core details when a user is in close proximity to the user interface. Disclosed is user interface management system consisting of a distance measurement unit for detecting a distance of a user from the user interface, a controller connected to the distance measurement unit for receiving an input from the distance measurement unit and a memory for storing data. Also disclosed is a presentation device which is connected with the controller for receiving control signals to present information based on the control signals and selectively change information context of the displayed information. The technology may be implemented in security systems, proximity based computer display, etc.
