This portfolio is majorly related to augmented reality (AR) applications. Disclosed are various techniques related to a gesture based user interface for augmented reality, energy savings using augmented reality and generate 3D model of a 2D image. Disclosed are techniques to provide a gesture keyboard which can be utilized with a virtual display. The system receives sensory information associated with an object in proximity, or in contact with, an input device for receiving one level of interaction differentiation detected from three levels of interaction differentiation. Also disclosed are techniques to interpret a command from the sensory information as a function of the one level of interaction differentiation, and output an action indication based on the command. Few techniques disclose an augmented reality by capturing a real image from information contained in a visible light, generate a virtual image from the captured image and display on an augmented reality device a view selected from the group of the real image and the virtual image. The system displays the view of the real image in response to detection of a motion and display the view of the virtual image in the absence of detected motion. Few patents disclose a technique to capture two-dimensional (2D) images for an augmented reality representation to display 3D models of the images. Further disclosed are techniques for broadband passive tracking of a scene of interest for augmented reality, dynamic tactile interfaces and techniques for scene analysis for improved eye tracking. The technology may be implemented in AR applications, AR devices, games, animation, smart glasses, head mounted displays, object tracking software, etc.
