Image-Triggered Communicative Actions (DEAL 623)

This invention is generally related to an application to match a stored image with a submitted image and perform predetermined communicative actions such as linking a digital image to a digital music album, etc. Disclosed is a technique to launch communicative actions based on an image by receiving a first image sent by a user and receiving a first communicative action to be launched if a second user submits the same image. The system uses a database repository to register the image and the communicative actions defined by the first user. Also disclosed are techniques to receive the image from the second user to determine whether the second image is substantially the same as the first image. If the second image is not similar to the first image, the system sends a notification to the second user. If the image matches the stored image, the system launches the communicative actions. The technology may be implemented in social networks, eCommerce systems, mobile apps, web-based applications, etc.
