Multi-Source Video Overlay for Television (DEAL 614)

This lot is generally related to overlaying videos captured from multiple sources and insert in a television program which allows a user to select one content over another or a different combination of content. Techniques are disclosed to overlay a video using a television script by receiving video signals from video sources, process a first script by a television consisting of instructions for placing a first picture from a first video signal in a first position at a first depth value on a television display. The system places an instruction for a second picture to place in a second position at a second depth value on the display. Also disclosed are techniques to simultaneously display the first picture and second picture on the display by the television in an overlaid manner. Further disclosed are techniques to display the first picture which is overlayed translucently on top of the second partially visible picture. The technology may be implemented in TV sets, television broadcast systems, media distribution systems, etc.
