IP3 2025 – Audio Processing 2 (Lot 16313)
This lot is generally related to a technique for synchronizing spatial audio and visual experiences between two users wearing head-mounted wearable electronic devices (WEDs) to provide shared spatial awareness and synchronized experiences. It enhances communication and immersion and enables multi-user interaction with virtual content anchored in real or virtual space. The system includes a first WED that processes sound to appear at a specific external location using binaural sound techniques. A server transmits the coordinates of the first WED to a second WED, which then processes the same sound to localize it at the identical point in space for both users. Additionally, both WEDs display a matching AR or VR image at that shared location, creating a unified, immersive audiovisual experience. The technology may be implemented in collaborative AR/VR games, virtual social experience systems, mixed-reality events, etc.
